She Only Gets Better...

So we've been busy getting to know each other these past few weeks and I really really like her...I think we'll keep her!! Motherhood is better than I imagined it would be. I love every minute spent with her. Today as I write this blog she is 8 weeks (2 MONTHS!!) I can't believe time has flown this fast. Just to catch you up on the past few weeks.
Noelani got to spend her first day at work with Mommy on Friday, July 11th but she didn't really like it that much...I don't blame her...she's a smart girl...work is never fun!! Everyone at work enjoyed seeing her and love watching to see how big she's growing.

Noelani had her first road trip as we drove down to Redmond, Oregon to see Ray's parents on July 11th. The journey is typically a 6.5 hour drive but I believe we made it in just a little over 7. We decided to travel at night as that is when Noelani is sleeping and it would avoid the hot weather down South. Good thing cause it turned out being in the mid 90's the entire time we were there. We had a great time with the parents just kicking back.

We went out for Chinese food one night and they had a BBQ one night and Ray cooked us some steaks. Ray and I were beyond thrilled because we got to eat at our favorite burger joint...SONIC!!! It was as good as I remembered it to be.

On Saturday we drove to Sisters which is about 25 minutes away so Noelani could meet her Cousin Casey. He loved seeing her and I loved seeing him. Casey is doing great!! I managed to snap a picture of us...Noelani was sleeping most of the time so I didn't get many pictures of her. She also got to meet her Auntie Crystal and Cousin Colby. So much family out there to meet...
All in all she was a great road tripper and seemed to enjoy the ride.

After we returned from Oregon the other Grandparents were needing a fix so I headed down with Noelani to Auburn to visit Grandma and Papa.

The next week the Grandparents came up to our place to visit for a few hours...I can't believe they'll be leaving in just a few short weeks...We're bummed but we won't talk about that just yet. We'll enjoy our time together!!!

Today as I mentioned is Noelani's 2 month birthday and we celebrated by having lunch with Grandma at Gilman Village in Issaquah at a great little restaurant called Julia's.

Noelani sat at the table and enjoyed spending some time with Grandma...She kept looking around for Papa but unfortunately Papa is working this week so he couldn't make it.
She's getting so big...I am so lucky to have been able to spend this time with her off from work. I don't know how I'll be able to return to work but it's got to happen. I don't want to think about that just yet...file that away with the Grandparents leaving... :)

A few things she's doing now is she can lift her head and look us in the eyes.

She likes to see herself in the mirror and loves the water and to be in the bath. She can even roll over to the side (both).

I love the way she looks at me and smiles. My favorite time of day is when she first wakes up and she's extra smiley. Everything she does amazes me!!!

Great update. Can't wait for your dad to get off work so he can visit the blog. He checks it often to see if any new postings so when we are gone you will have to give us up dates.

Great pictures. We love all the time we get to spend with her.
